A graduate of Imperial College London with a degree in petroleum engineering, Edesiri Onatejiroghene Ibru has built a career spanning 14 years and multiple industries. For the last six years, Edesiri Onatejiroghene Ibru, also known as Tejiro Ibru, has been the executive director of Destiny Dredgers International in Nigeria. In 2012, she returned to Imperial College to earn her master’s in metals and energy finance.

The Metals and Energy Finance course at Imperial College London is a one-year program focused on the technical and financial aspects of minerals and natural energy. Topics covered include mineral deposit studies, resource evaluation, petroleum engineering and geology, accounting, and project appraisal and finance.

The intensive 12-month program consists of classroom lectures and culminates in a dissertation. Offerings also include a 10-day excursion to an active mining region rich in mineral processing and energy development. Completion of the degree can lead to opportunities in the financial services sector as well as business divisions within natural resource companies.
