The Work of Imperial College London Alumnus Tony Hollingsworth

Now serving Midwestern Oil and Gas Limited as a corporate finance analyst, Edesiri Onatejiroghene Ibru lives in Lagos, Nigeria. An educated professional, Edesiri Onatejiroghene Ibru has obtained practitioner-level certification in PRINCE2, a project management methodology, in addition to earning her master’s degree from .

The college has a number of distinguished alumni, including Tony Hollingsworth. Noted for his extraordinary contributions to the music industry, Mr. Hollingsworth worked alongside his cousin Michael Eavis in the 1980s to launch the Glastonbury Festival, now one of the most popular music festivals in the United Kingdom, attracting some of the largest names in music each year. Mr. Hollingsworth worked on the first seven events before moving onto other projects.

His later projects supported social causes of the era, highlighted by his production of the concert in celebration of the 70th birthday of former South African president Nelson Mandela. Held in 1988, the event developed awareness around Mandela’s imprisonment and advocated for his release. It was broadcast to over 600 million viewers in almost 70 countries.

Further to his professional activities, Mr. Hollingsworth has engaged in an active philanthropic career that has seen him raise over £21 million for a range of causes, including the Red Cross and Amnesty International.
